Doodle Fun

I'm loving this Visual Journal Online Worship that Sea Sky Stone introduced me to! It's free so if you love to paint or if you'd like to try a hand at it, check it out!

Playing around has allowed me to let go of perfectionism and just doodle. I've had so much fun with this piece. I didn't do it on paper like she suggested, I went straight to canvas (the flat kind) because that's what I had on hand. Notice there is no girl in the painting yet because I didn't let myself think about how she fit in or where to put her. I may decide to add one later, but for now, I'm just enjoying this new exploration.

I've also been working on some Valentine goodies that I can't wait to share with you next week! Hope you have a bright and cheery weekend.

That's such a good idea, to just take time to doodle and see where it takes you. I can't remember the last time I did that!

That is such a good idea, at least sometimes, maybe always, we should paint like children, just for the joy of it, not thinking. :)) Your paintig is joyful!

doodles are great in general and yours are wonderful in particular - they make me think of a cartoon of fireworks and stars exploding (you know in cartoons when the character gets a bump on the head and sees stars? like that!!) it'll be interesting to see the addition of the girl.

It is freeing to set out with no plan in mind, and just play. Great doodles, they are so fun and whimsical.

Love this! Letting go of perfection is so freeing. Glad you're having so much fun!

Is that the one taught by Tracy Bautista? I had signed up for it but then decided to focus on other things.

Enjoy!

I'm a huge fan of doodles and yours are gorgeous. I love the colors here - so pretty and happy. I'd say don't add the girl -- this is great just as it is.
